National Conference of Specialized Court Judges
NHTSA Judicial Outreach Liaisons
Description: The purpose of the Regional Judicial Outreach Liaison is to use the foundation built by the Judicial Fellowship program, so the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the American Bar Association-Judicial Division (ABA) can focus their outreach efforts to target one or more regions of the country to educate and mobilize support for NHTSA's traffic safety activities. This will assist in meeting NHTSA's goal of reducing the annual highway traffic fatality rate to no more that 1.0 deaths per 100 million vehicle miles of travel by 2008 and will improve judicial community outreach and promote confidence and trust in the judiciary.
