Membership

Membership Benefits

Through the National Conference of Specialized Court Judges (NCSCJ), you have the opportunity to learn, network and socialize with peers from around the country on matters of concern to you. As a member of NCSCJ you also have access to other valuable resources.

When you join the NCSCJ, you will begin receiving the Conference newsletter, "Specialized Court News," free of charge. Specialized Court News is contained in the Division's newsletter, the Judicial Division Record, and seeks to inform judges of limited or special jurisdiction of useful developments, information and innovations concerning the judicial forums in which they serve.

As an NCSCJ member, you also have the opportunity to join the many Conference Committees. Through the work of these committees, the NCSCJ strives to improve the judicial process and the quality of justice by giving members an effective channel for the exchange of information and viewpoints. Committees also serve as a vehicle for state and judicial organizations to work together on mutual concerns.

Issues of Importance

As an NCSCJ member, you will also be able to participate meaningfully on issues affecting the judicial system and federal trial judges including:

  • Improving the administration of justice in the federal courts;
  • Promoting improvements in the administration of the jury system;
  • Increasing public understanding of and respect for the judicial system;
  • Promoting courtroom technology and encouraging interface between courts and law offices; and
  • Improving salaries, retirement plans and working conditions for the federal judiciary.
