National Conference of Specialized Court Judges
Welcome to the web page of the National Conference of Specialized Court Judges (NCSCJ). Since 1972 we have been the organizational home to judges of limited and specialized jurisdiction from around the country, and around the world. Our conference reflects the diversity of the people in courtrooms everywhere, representing the provision of judicial services in accordance with the Rule of Law in those areas of law which touch directly the lives of people every day. Our membership includes judges who preside over matters dealing with traffic, tax, probate, juvenile, domestic relations, environmental, small claims, landlord-tenant, tribal, immigration, municipal, county, district and international criminal courts.
The principal role of the NCSCJ is to work to instill public trust and confidence in the judicial system. Our conference is committed to Judicial Outreach to the community, and has presented programs in traffic safety, domestic violence protection orders, military justice, juvenile delinquency, child abuse and domestic violence, and many other areas, drawing on the specialized expertise of the members of our conference.
This is one of the benefits of membership to the NCSCJ. There is a wealth of experience and specialized knowledge which our members share with one another and with their communities. Our publications, including the Judicial Division Record, The Judges Journal, and our regular publications in the National Highway Traffic Safety Agency’s Highway to Justice, are extremely valuable communications tools for our members.
Our conference is also actively engaged in judicial education programs particularly in the area of traffic court technology.
I welcome you to this web page and encourage you to navigate our web site using the tool bars above. I encourage you to “Join” us by using the link found in the margin. If you are a judge in a specialized jurisdiction, and are not yet a member of our conference, we need you among our members as your expertise will be a valuable addition to the Conference. If you are already a member, welcome to your web site. Please let me know if there is something you would like to see added so that we may continue to serve our members, and to instill confidence and trust in our court systems.
