An overflow crowd of more than 150 packed the NCFTJ's Midyear Meeting program, "Stranger In A Strange Land"

Panelists included (left to right) Rene L. Valladares, Hon. Bernice B. Donald, Mark J. Mills, J.D., M.D., and Professor Alison Dundes Renteln.

Audience members used hand-held technology supplied by TrialGraphix to "vote" on the outcome of cases presented by the panel.

NCFTJ Chair Judge Barbara Lynn adjourns the program, emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural competence in the judiciary.

Law professor and TV commentator Jonathan Turley moderated.

The standing-room-only crowd listened intently as panelists presented vignettes drawn from real-life, cross-cultural cases.
