STANDING COMMITTEE ON WORLD ORDER UNDER LAW
RECOMMENDATION
Resolved, That the American Bar Association reaffirms its support for the ratification by the United States of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, with the same reservations, understandings and declarations previously supported; and
Further Resolved, That the ABA supports in principle, the development of an individual right of petition as an optional protocol to the Women's Convention as described in the Platform for Action adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in September 1995.
