Visa InformationEntry of foreigners into Brazil Visas are granted for entry into Brazil on several grounds, including business and participation in international seminars and conferences. When requesting a visa, the foreign visitor must complete an individual Visa Request Form (available in Portuguese, Spanish and English), which can be filed at any Brazilian consulate overseas upon payment of a fee, varying according with the type of visa requested and the time the visitor wishes to remain in the country. At the time a visa is requested, the foreign visitor must present a passport valid for, at least, six additional months, together with a recent 3X4 or 5X7 photo with white background. Visitors from the following countries, having diplomatic agreements, may enter Brazil, for up to 90 days, for business purposes without a visa as long as bearing a valid passport: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Great Britain/RU, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. On the other hand, visitors form the following countries must request a visa in their home country prior to departure: Bolivia, Panama, and Venezuela. Visa Request Forms must also be completed prior to departure, regardless of the type of passport or purpose of the trip, by visitors of the following countries: Canada and United States.
