International Law Section Leadership & Governance
The Officers for the Section of International Law are the Chair, Chair-Elect, Vice Chair, Immediate Past Chair, Policy/Government Affairs Officer, Secretary/Liaison Officer, Financial Officer, Technology Officer, Publications Officer, Membership Officer, Rule of Law Officer, Programs Officer, and two (2) At Large Members.
The Council is the policy-making body of the Section. The Council is vested with the powers and duties necessary to identify, consider, debate and approve Section policy, including but not limited to approval of Section Reports and Recommendations to be referred to the House of Delegates for approval ("Reports and Recommendations"), and approval of Section co-sponsorship of Reports and Recommendations initiated by other Sections.
The Administration Committee is vested with the powers and duties necessary for the Administration of the activities of the Section. The Administration Committee functions as the governing body of the Section with regard to the Section’s finances, operations and administration, subject to review by the Council.
