    1. Please check all programs in which you would be willing to provide expertise:

    Consultant: provides technical legal assistance, usually in an advisory role, for a period ranging from 2-6 weeks, in areas including:

    • Reform of legal institutions and systems, including reform of constitutional frameworks;
    • Support to electoral bodies and improvement of legislative drafting and parliamentary practices;
    • Support for decentralization and strengthening of local institutions;
    • Judicial education and reform;
    • Commercial law reform and development;
    • Strengthen anti-corruption measures;
    • Independent lawyers associations development; and
    • Legal aid to the indigent and underrepresented.

    Resident Advisor: provides technical legal assistance to an UNDP program country for at least six months in areas including:

    • Reform of legal institutions and systems, including reform of constitutional frameworks;
    • Support to electoral bodies and improvement of legislative drafting and parliamentary practices;
    • Support for decentralization and strengthening of local institutions;
    • Judicial education and reform;
    • Commercial law reform and development;
    • Strengthen Anti-corruption measures;
    • Independent lawyers associations development; and
    • Legal aid to the indigent and underrepresented.

     Non-resident Advisor: completes a specific legal assistance project through a series of short-term visits to an UNDP program country for the duration of up to one year.

     Workshop participant: develops, leads, and/or speaks at seminars and training programs.

     Legal Commentator: provides review and commentary on legal documents and draft legislation to enhance in-country and regional initiatives.
