The ABA Section of International Law (ABA International) looks forward to welcoming you to its 2005 Fall Meeting in Brussels, October 26-29. We hope you will make plans to join us and take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet with leading attorneys and government officials from Europe, North America and around the world, and to network with members of the Section. There are many reasons why you should register today!

  • We expect hundreds of international practitioners, EU and other government officials, in-house counsel and academics from around the world making this ABA International’s largest Fall Meeting in history.
  • Join the pre-conference delegation to the various international institutions located in The Hague – the delegation is limited to 40 people, and will be oversubscribed. Preference will be given to those who register early for the Fall Meeting.
  • We are offering six special tracks of programs on key issues of particular appeal to your practice and interest areas: Public Law Track (PL) 11 programs), Finance Track (F) (11 programs), Dispute Resolution Track (DR) (10 programs), Antitrust Track (A) (8 programs), Commercial/Business Track (C/B) (12 programs), and a Trade Track (T) (8 programs).   • Issues in Trans-Atlantic Defense Procurement featuring officers of major corporate defense contractors
  • A three-hour, two session program on privilege issues including a moot court presentation
  • Three hours of programming on investigations and prosecutions of international cartels featuring separate sessions with government enforcers and defense counsel
  • An extraordinary session with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization
  • A full Day at the EU consisting of an initial overview briefing at the hotel and then substantive visits to the European Parliament and the EU Commission
  • A program moderated by former US Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat on the impact of China’s emergence as a major world power with high level speakers from China, Japan, the EU and US
  • A wide array of programs relevant to corporate and capital markets practitioners including sessions with SEC and European regulators, a program on the risks and aftermath of accounting fraud with a focus on what Enron, WorldCom and Parmalat augur for the future, and a session on significant developments in Corporate Governance
