The ABA Section of International Law – the gateway to international practice for the ABA’s 405,000 members - looks forward to welcoming you to the 2005 Annual Meeting August 5-8, 2005, "Hot International Topics for Today’s Practitioner." We hope you will join us to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with leading attorneys and government officials, and to network with members of the Section. The Section, headquartered in the beautiful Fairmont Chicago, has put together an attractive and informative program with over 15 practical and cutting edge CLE sessions featuring high-level speakers including Government Officials, General Counsels and other leading attorneys. This year, all accredited CLE programs will be held at the Presidential CLE Center located at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

2005 ANNUAL MEETING REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Please visit the ABA 2005 Annual Meeting website at http://www.abanet.org/annual/2005/ for full details. The following is a summary of the two-step registration process:
Annual Meeting Registration Fee: ABA Member and All Access CLE Badge $570; ABA Member Governance Only Registration and Access to Non CLE Programs $295; Non-ABA Member and All Access CLE Badge $775; Non- ABA Member Governance and Non-CLE Badge $500; Law Student Fee and All Access CLE Badge $75. Individual CLE Tickets @ $75 each; Individual CLE Tickets for Judges and Government Lawyers @ $35 each. This fee includes: Admission to business meetings; Admission to the ABA EXPO; Shuttle bus transportation between official ABA hotels; Participation in all non-CLE accredited meetings and programs; Admission to the Opening Assembly on Saturday, August 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center and a copy of the ABA Annual Meeting Program Book. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE YOUR ABA MEMBERSHIP NUMBER AVAILABLE IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM.
- NEW CLE PRICING OPTIONS:
Purchasing CLE at the 2005 Annual Meeting is easier than ever. Attendees can purchase an All-Access CLE Badge for a fee of $570. This badge can be used for admittance to governance meetings, non-CLE programs and ALL CLE programs at the Annual Meeting, including those in the Presidential CLE Center and at the satellite hotels. Members whose primary focus at the Annual Meeting is governance, and who may only be able to attend a few CLE programs, can register for the Annual Meeting for a fee of $295, which includes admittance to all governance and non-CLE programs, and purchase individual CLE program tickets for $75 each. Discounted CLE program tickets will be available to registered government lawyers and judges for $35. Law Student registrants will be admitted to all CLE programs at no additional charge. Admittance to each CLE program will require one individual program ticket OR the All-Access CLE Badge. Registration for non-ABA Members is $775.

IN ORDER TO EARN CLE CREDIT FOR PROGRAMS ATTENDED AT THE 2005 ANNUAL MEETING, YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE MEETING. GUESTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO EARN CLE CREDIT AT THE ANNUAL MEETING.
The Presidential CLE Center will be located at the Hyatt Regency. The center will offer accredited CLE programs covering all areas of practice, giving attendees an opportunity to conveniently earn a year’s worth of CLE credit in one central location. The Section of International Law has requested accreditation for its 2005 Annual Meeting programs from each U.S. state with general mandatory continuing legal education requirements for all lawyers. Please be aware that each state has its own rules and procedures for MCLE credit, as well as its own definition of “CLE”. Please check with your state for confirmation of program approval. For more information about MCLE credit for the Annual Meeting, please call the ABA’s MCLE Office at 312/988-6217.

- ADVANCE REGISTRATION AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Please visit the ABA 2005 Annual Meeting website at http://www.abanet.org/annual/2005/ for full details or call I.T.S. at 800 /421-0450. The Section Headquarters’ hotel is Fairmont Chicago, 200 N. Columbus Dr. Chicago, IL 60601. The special ABA rates are standard (single/double) $169, Deluxe Suite City View (single/double) $269 and Deluxe Suite Lake View (single/double) $294. The Housing and Advance Registration deadline is Thursday, July 7 at 5:00 p.m. CDS. This is also the absolute deadline that you can register for the Annual Meeting and appear in the Advance Registration List. After July 7 th registrations will be accepted on site at the Hyatt Regency. These registration forms received by ITS will be held and processed on site after August 1, and will not appear in the Advance Registration List. Hotel requests received after July 7 will not be accommodated. After the Housing deadline, you must wait until after July 22 to make your reservations directly with the official ABA hotels or to change reservations made through ITS.
