ABA Offers Free Webcast on IP Issues During this year's Summer IPL Conference, we will webcast the business meeting at which the Section debates and adopts or rejects resolutions. These resolutions constitute the policy of the Section in proposing and backing new legislation, and new positions to be urged in international conferences. If you have ever wondered how the ABA IP Law Section decides what to do, you will now be able to watch the process. This Business Session will take place on Thursday, June 27, from 1:45 - 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. This meeting is one of the highlights of the Section year. Ten key, current and somewhat controversial issues have been identified for debate. The debates on past resolutions have been interesting and instructional. Former Commissioners of Patents and Trademarks and former Registrars of Copyrights who are members of the Section have participated as well. After the debate on each resolution, Section members will vote on which position to adopt as the Section's position.
