Committee meetings at the 22nd Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference
In addition to our comprehensive and informative educational sessions, our Section committees will aslo be holding meetings to discuss activities and substantive issues. This is your opportunity to get actively involved in the work of the Section and its committees, and to check out committees in which you may be interested. All registrants to the Conference are invited to participate in these committee meetings.
The following committee meetings are currently scheduled:
Thursday, April 12
8:00 - 8:30 a.m.
Young Lawyers Committee
9:45 - 10:15 a.m.
Corporate Practice Committee
The committee will discuss recent business, legislative and court activity of particular importance to corporate practitioners in patents, trademarks and copyrights. Currrent committee activities and future goals will also be discussed.
10:15 - 11:45 a.m.
Federal Trademark Legislation Committee
Amy Cotton, of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of External Affairs will address the committee on anticipated Trademark legislation in the current session of Congress.
1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Industrial Design Committee
The committee will discuss "The Geneva Act Treaty Operation and U.S. Ramifications."
Friday, April 13
7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
International Patent Laws and Treaties Committee
The committee will share summary updates for each of the sub-committeess, providing information regarding
patent law practices in India, China, Europe, and international treaty issues. The committee will discuss current compulsort licensing issues that have arisen in thailand and updates for China and Canada, and will plan addition activities for the remaining portion of the ABA year.

Antitrust Matters Committee
The committee will discuss international antitrust IP issues and Walker Process.

Special Committee on Promotions and Marketing Law
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Section of Science & Technology Law Voice Over Internet Protocol Committee

IP Licensing Committee
The committee will discuss possible new CLE topics in the area of IP licensing, and solicit interest in leadership participation for the next year.
