Registration and Program Information

Advance Registration:
You can register online or print and mail the registration form with your payment (watch this page for a link to the printable PDF brochure). If paying by credit card, you may fax the form to 312/988-6800. Deadline for receipt of advance registra­tion is March 28, 2007. Payment must accompany form.

Onsite Registration:
Onsite registration will be available Wednesday, April 19, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Onsite registrations must include payment.
Registration Confirmation: Confirmations will be sent via e-mail in advance of the program for all registrations received prior to March 26, 2008.

Cancellation Policy: Registrants unable to attend will receive a refund less a $25 administrative fee if a written cancellation is received by March 26, 2008. Fax cancellation requests to 312/988-6800, Attn.: Practical Tips Program. No refunds will be granted after March 26. Substitutions are acceptable. The ABA reserves the right to cancel any program and assumes no responsi­bility for personal expenses.

Food and Beverage:
There will be coffee service prior to the start of the program, and during breaks. A special buffet luncheon with featured guest speaker.

Location and Lodging:

The Practical Tips on In­tellectual Property Law program will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel, 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia. The ABA group rate is $196.00 single/double occupancy. All rooms are subject to a 10.25% Virginia State Sales Tax. Be sure to mention the ABA 2008 Intellectual Property Law Conference to receive the special group rate.

Note: The cutoff date for the room block is Monday, March 17, 2008. But do not wait until the March 17 cutoff date, as the room block fills up quickly. After this date, reservations can be made on a space available basis only. The ABA will not be able to secure a room for you.

Travel:
You are encouraged to make your airline res­ervations on the ABA Online Travel site where you automatically receive ABA airfare discounts from a vari­ety of carriers. ABA Online Travel can be accessed from the ABA home page, www.abanet.org. Click on the Lawyer Re­sources link in the left column, then locate ABA Online Travel in the Member Services box in the right column. Reservations can also be made through Travelocity Business or directly with the airline. The 24/7 toll-free number for Travelocity Business is 1-866-321-8403.

CLE Credit:
CLE accreditation has been requested for this program from every state with mandatory continu­ing education requirements for lawyers. Please be aware that each state has its own rules and regulations, includ­ing its definition of “CLE.” Check with your state agency for confirmation of this program’s approval.
