Human Rights in a
New Administration

Featuring

John Shattuck
CEO, John F. Kennedy Library Foundation
Asst. Sec. of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, Clinton Administration

Since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the federal government's responses to them, our country's commitment to human rights and the rule of law has been questioned around the world. As a result, many believe its moral authority has been compromised. John Shattuck, CEO of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor under President Clinton, will address how President Obama can work to address these concerns and return the United States to a clear path of human rights leadership at home and abroad.
