Response to President Fox's Rule of Law Letter Regarding Digna Ochoa

By Lic. Juan Carlos Solís Martínez, General Director of Human Rights of the Procuraduria General of the Federal District, request, I'm writing you regarding your communication concerning Mrs. Digna Ochoa y Placido case.

Let me tell you that, because of the Mrs. Digna Ochoa y Placido decease, last october 19th, this entity had initiated an investigation looking to clarify what really happened.

At the same time, let me tell you that this Procuraduría considered the beneficiaries opinion, and its providing protection to the people who was directly involved with Mrs. Ochoas's work, such as "Miguel Agustín Pro Juarez" A.C. Human Right Center.

Finally let me remind you the inescapable commitment of the Procurador General de la Justicia del Dostrito Federal, Maestro Bernardo Bátiz Vázquez, that the investigation would be strict attach to the human rights
