Christopher S. SearsWhat Employers Need to Know About Implementing Employee Wellness Programs

by Christopher S. Sears, Ice Miller LLP, Indianapolis, IN

Complimentary, non-CLE Teleconference
Tuesday, January 15, 2008

As employers seek ways to lower healthcare costs and encourage healthier behaviors among their employees, many are implementing wellness programs that provide rewards (or penalties) to encourage healthy behaviors. These programs must comply with HIPAA's nondiscrimination rules, and the EEOC has recently indicated that it will be scrutinizing these programs for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act as well.

Join us on January 15, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time for an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Membership Call during which Chris Sears, a Vice Chair of the IG from Ice Miller in Indianapolis, will lead a discussion on wellness program designs and pitfalls.
