The Annual Legal Consultants & Technologists Dinner announced the recipients of the 2005 Lexie Awards, recognizing "Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Technology Community" at its sixth annual dinner event held at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois on March 31, 2005. The three recipients of the 2005 Lexie are:

Bruce L. Dorner - Bruce is a solo practitioner in Londonderry, New Hampshire. for more than two decades, Bruce has extensively volunteered his time educating solo and small firm lawyers across the continent on technology and practice management topics. A pioneering member of the ABA's Solo & Small Firm Committee, Bruce was instrumental in the startup of the ABA's highly successful "Solosez" listserve. In his various leadership roles in the ABA's General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Section and the Law Practice Management Section, as well as a prolific author and CLE educator, Bruce has mentored and influenced thousands of lawyers and legal staffers. For his selfless volunteer spirit, Bruce was awarded the 2005 Lexie for Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Technology Community.

David Beckman & David Hirsch - The "Two Davids" are legends in the legal technology world. Law partners in the Burlington, Iowa firm of Beckman & Hirsch, "the Davids" write the most-read legal technology column in the world. As long-time co-authors of "In Re Technology" in the ABA Journal, they bring insight, innovative out-of-the-box thinking and new perspectives on the use of technology in law practice to over 400,000 lawyers and legal professionals every month. For this consistent dedication to educating all of us and inspiring us to constantly think ahead, David Beckman and David Hirsch were awarded the 2005 Lexie for Outstanding Contributions to the Legal Technology Community.

Linda Oligschlaeger - Linda is the Membership Services Director for the Missouri Bar and serves as a leading member of the nationwide Practice Management Advisors group. Linda is revered in her own state and nationally recognized as the mother of the "Solo and Small Firm Conference" movement that has swept the continent's Bar association landscape. As the guiding force behind the highly successful Missouri Bar Solo & Small Firm Conference, now in its 10th year, Linda and her team have been the consummate model for other Bars interested in creating their own similar events.
