Welcome Military Lawyers!

On behalf of the members of the Military Law Committee of the General Practice, Solo, and Small Firm Division of the ABA, I welcome you to view some of the activities of the Committee. The Committee's members are people with an interest, and, often, experience, in the wide range of legal services and legal issues in the armed forces.

"Military law" spans the legal spectrum, and includes military justice, the law of armed conflict, homeland security, environmental law, legal assistance, and contracts—to name only a few areas the Committee considers. The Committee is pleased to play an important role in bringing military legal issues and perspectives to the attention of the Division and the ABA, and, at the same time, informing the military community about the Division and the ABA. I encourage anyone interested in military law to join us.

Sincerely,

General John Cooke (US Army Ret.)
Chair, Military Law Committee
