Call for Council Agenda Items

Call for Nominations for Officers and Council Election
- The Nominating Committee will meet during the 2009 Fall Meeting in Los Angeles, October 15 -17 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel to nominate individuals for the positions of Division vice chair, secretary, and members-at-large of the Council. General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division Members are encouraged to submit the Council Nominating Questionnaire by October 1, 2009. Click here for more information. GPSolo has a new Logo!
- The ABA GPSolo Council has approved a motion to change the Division’s logo to the ABA unified logo system. The purpose of creating a unified ABA identity system is to have a single powerful system that boldly displays the ABA name/logo with the various entities. Sixty-one entities have requested a new logo and 36 entities have adopted it. The most recent entity to adopt the unified logo was the Section of Litigation.
FTC Announces Expanded Business Education Campaign on ‘Red Flags’ Rule
- After substantial lobbying by the ABA’s task force on the Red Flags Rule regarding identity theft of which the GP Division is a critical member, The Federal Trade Commission announced today that it is delaying enforcement of the Red Flags Rule.
