2006 Fall Meeting

Welcome

Please join me for the GP|Solo Division’s 2006 Fall Meeting to be held on the banks of Lake Michigan in my hometown of Milwaukee!

The Meeting will be held at the historic Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 19 – 21, 2006. The three-day meeting will begin on Thursday afternoon with a Leadership Training Session and an Opening Ceremony, followed by a Milwaukee-style Tailgate Party where attendees can promote their favorite sports team. In addition to the various governance committee meetings which will be held throughout the three days, the Division is offering up to 25 hours of outstanding CLE during the 2006 National Solo & Small Firm Conference, taking place Thursday and Friday. The National Conference is the first of its kind and we hope you’re able to participate as we’ve prepared a great line-up of speakers for you. Friday evening the GP|Solo Division will host its Difference Maker Awards Dinner where we will continue the tradition of recognizing lawyers who have made a difference in our society. On Saturday we will hold the Division’s Council Meeting and conclude with an Octoberfest Picnic at Waldheim Park that you will not want to miss. Please plan to join us for this exciting array of activities!

Social Events

Thursday, October 19th

Please plan on attending the Division’s Tailgate Party at the Pfister Hotel where you are welcome to promote your favorite sports team. This event is included in your registration fee.

Friday, October 20th

Join us Friday evening for our Difference Makers Dinner to be held at the Milwaukee Art Museum Café. The Museum is a world famous Calatrava-designed facility, enclosed in floor to ceiling glass windows and overlooking Lake Michigan.

Saturday, October 21st

We’ll conclude the 2006 Fall Meeting with an Oktoberfest Picnic held at Waldheim Park. The Picnic will be hosted by John Macy and Sandi Brand is being funded courtesy of the Division’s primary sponsor, Thomson-West.

GPSolo 2006 National Solo and Small Firm Conference

This inaugural Conference will be a national gathering of solo and small firm lawyers, including the ABA Solosez online community, and will include one and a half days of CLE programming on topics such as practice management, business development, and legal technology mixed with the networking and camaraderie that has made solo & small firm events nationwide so popular and practical.
