Who Is GP|Solo Chair Keith McLennan?

  • Formally, Keith “Kevin” McLennan (it rhymes… kind of).
  • Partner in the law firm of Miller, Turetsky, Rule & McLennan, P.C., with an office in the Philadelphia suburb of Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
  • Concentrates his practice on business law, commercial litigation, business organizations, personal injury, smart remarks and puns, estate and business planning and administration, contracts, copyrights, trademarks, intellectual property, and elder law.
  • Received a B.A. from Rutgers College in 1981 and a J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1985; admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  • Served as President of the Montgomery Bar Association in 2002, where he also served as Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Director (simultaneously — and still the meetings lasted three hours); Chair of the General Practice Committee; and Co-Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee.
  • Past Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Practice Section, where he led the fight for the passage of Rule 1.17, sale of a law practice by a solo practitioner, and against specialization certifications, because he is a jack of all trades, master of none.
  • Member of the ABA House of Delegates, past Council Member for the GP|Solo Section, Past Chairman of its flagship program, Solo and Small Firm Day, and past chair of numerous committees in the GP|Solo Division; member of the West Advisory Board, where he is known as “Kevin.”
  • Married to the late Dr. Michele McLennan, Associate Professor of Economics at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Devoted father and lacrosse coach for his two daughters, Kali (age 14) and Madalyn (age 11). Kali is a student at Agnes Irwin School and Madalyn is a student at Arcola Intermediate School.
