Minnesota Lawyers Mutual- The Division’s Newest Sponsor

The Division would like to welcome Minnesota Lawyers Mutual (“MLM”) as the GP|Solo Division’s newest major sponsor! For those of you who have attended Division meetings in the past couple years, you are probably already familiar with the fun group from MLM who have been participating in our meetings as a meetings sponsor and who have also provided speakers for numerous ethics CLE programs.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the company, MLM provides professional liability insurance and risk management service to lawyers. “Designed to reduce your law firm’s malpractice exposure, MLM’s practice management services increase your firm’s efficiency by helping you identify the effectiveness of your law office systems.”

We would like to thank Minnesota Lawyers Mutual for their continued support of the Division. Their corporate sponsorship funding will help the Division to continue to produce affordable products and services for its members. Website Redesign

As part of an ABA-wide effort to standardize the look and feel of the ABA's website, GP|Solo's website has changed and we'd like to know:

  • Do you like it?
  • Your opinion about the look and navigation
  • How it compares to the old design (if you have been to the site before).

Take our survey and tell us what you think.

Disaster Preparedness

Disaster Preparedness and the Criminal Justice System
New Orleans, LA
November 2 - 5
Sponsored by the ABA Criminal Justice Section and Co-sponsored by GP|Solo Division

It has become abundantly clear that criminal justice systems around the country need to be better prepared to deal with disasters, whether they come in the form of hurricanes, pandemics, earthquakes, industrial accidents, tornadoes, tsunamis, or terrorist attacks. This is an opportunity for all the players in criminal justice, judicial, prosecution, defense lawyers and corrections officials to come together to examine the past and develop a blue print to prepare the criminal justice system as a whole for future catastrophes
