GP|Solo is growing fast!
We have one the fastest growing memberships in the ABA. As of September, our we have 32,459 members!
Our website is also one of the most popular spots on the ABA website. Our huge collection of articles and other resources drew almost 65,000 visits in September alone. |
| Fall Meeting Pictures |
Our Fall meeting was a lot of fun. Some highlights were ABA President Michael S. Greco addressing a Plenary Session on the topic of A Renaissance of Idealism in the Legal Profession, a joint luncheon with the New England Bar Association, our Difference Maker Award Celebration, a New England-style clambake, and a tour to the Kennedy Presidential Library. Members also explored Boston on their own by dining at local restaurants, whale watching, and even going to a Red Sox game.

| Bankruptcy Reform |
The Task Force on Attorney Discipline has issued the report Attorney Liability under § 707(b)(4) of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention
and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. The report is designed to give some guidance and lend some certainty to the Scope of Reasonable Inquiry required by §707(b) as revised by the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005. The report explains the factors that go into a reasonable inquiry and contains case annotations that support the Task Force's conclusions.

| Update from Sarajevo |
James Durant, our Director of GP|Solo's Administration Division, has been deployed to Sarajevo, Bosnia and has sent the following note:
I am a NATO lawyer working for NATO Headquarters, Sarajevo, Bosnia. The country here is war-torn, but much of it is now rebuilt. The people are friendly and seem to like Americans -- and, as you can imagine, I stick out like a sore thumb. Although I cannot go into any specifics about my job, trust me when I say that what we do here is very important.
Looking Forward to Seeing All of You Very Soon,
Your Friend,
James
