Stephanie Podey, formerly with Wilkie Farr & Gallagher, has joined the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) as their Associate General Counsel. The NCTA Legal Department monitors and participates in all relevant FCC and Copyright Office proceedings; participates in litigation affecting the cable industry; responds to other federal regulatory agencies when cable-related issues are involved; monitors state regulatory actions; assists NCTA members with cable-related questions; and participates in academic and research activities involving cable.

The Student Press Law Center educates high school and college journalists about the rights and responsibilities embodied in the First Amendment, and supports the student news media in covering important issues. The Center also provides free information and educational materials for student journalists and their teachers on a wide variety of legal topics.
