Mission Statement
This Forum's objectives are to:
(1) serve as a clearinghouse for lawyers of information and programs related to affordable housing and community development;
(2) serve as a coordinator of educational and training programs within the ABA for lawyers practicing in the area of affordable housing and community development;
(3) during each Association year, hold one or more educational meetings; and
(4) provide training programs focusing on new issues or ongoing concerns.
A journal facilitates communication among housing lawyers, provides a clearinghouse for the exchange of ideas and solutions, and helps coordinate the efforts of ABA entities whose work involves affordable housing and community development law.
The forum facilitates liaison among ABA entities concerned with housing. It also promotes activities of state and local bar associations, ABA entities, and other legal groups that educate the legal community about affordable housing and community development matters and provide assistance by way of special projects.
