2007 Spring CLE Conference
The Section's Spring Conference begins April 25th in Monterey, CA, at the Portola Plaza Hotel. If you're in
the area but haven't registered, fear not--you can register on-site to attend CLE programs and social events!
You may also
wish to stop by the Council Meeting, which starts at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27. You can view the Council Agenda Book online to see what's in store.
Don't Forget: If you filled out a survey from the Fall 2006 meeting in Santa Fe, you've been entered in the raffle to win a prize.
Section Chair James B. Preston will preside over the raffle, which will take place on Thursday, April 26, before the first plenary session. Remember, you must be present to win.

Congressional Relations Committee
Chair Marshall Wolf attended ABA Day in Washington, D.C.,
to meet with members of Congress and to distribute information
regarding the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) program. The ABA
fact sheet outlines how federal cuts impact CSE; it also calls for the restoration
of federal funding for this program.

ABA Day is held each spring in order to afford ABA members
an opportunity to meet with members of Congress to enlighten
them about issues that are important to the legal community.
This year's ABA Day took place on April 18th and 19th.
