Program Overview:
Businesses and other organizations face significant legal and business risks associated with the effects of climate change. This program will address both the business and legal risks that arise because of climate change issues and opportunities and strategies to address those risks. Speakers will address the various legal claims that have been brought regarding climate change issues. They will also address insurance and other strategies to address the risks posed by those claims as well as the physical risks that organizations face because of the effects of climate change over time. Finally, speakers will address physical changes that organizations can make through sustainability and other programs to further address climate change risks.
Educational Objectives:
- Provide the audience with an understanding of the business and legal risks associated with climate change
- Identify insurance and other strategies to address climate change risks
- Discuss sustainability and other programs to address climate change risks
