Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the International Energy & Resources Transaction Committee! As your chair for 2007-08, we invite you to get involved in shaping the future of this Committee.

As we hope you'll agree, our legal practice is becoming increasingly more globalized (as are our clients' businesses). This Committee will focus on emerging trends in legal transactional issues associated with global energy and resources project development. We hope to provide you as energy and natural resources practitioners with the opportunity to establish a strong international network of colleagues, access to the latest best practices, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences.

There are many opportunities for you to get involved. We encourage our members to suggest ideas for topics/programs that are most complementary to your practices and interests. You can contribute to our publications or participate in our programs and conferences. Or, you may be interested in sharing any newsworthy articles or events with other members by submitting them for posting on our "Hot News" webpage.

Communication is the key to our success! We look forward to your active participation in our Committee's activities.

Margret J. Kim

Robert L. Rhodes, Jr.

P.S. Please encourage your colleagues and friends to join our committee!
