The SEER Ethics Committee has a well earned reputation for discussing the professional responsibilities of lawyers in thought provoking sessions, usually at the conclusion of our annual conferences in the fall and the annual environmental law meetings in the spring. Throughout the year we also offer Quick Teleconferences and other opportunities for involvement in the application of the codes of professional responsibility to the practice of environmental law.

Our work has a fascination which transcends the mandatory CLE credits at the conferences. The planning of programs itself is an educational opportunity to be relished. Our thoughtful contributions to the Section’s publications stand side by side with those program offerings, and we constitute a network for engaging the issues of substantive ethics in the practice and study of environmental law. The Vice Chairs join me in welcoming all of the committee members to continuing involvement in all facets of the committee’s activity.
