Legal Services and Pro Bono Mediation Program Manual

The 'Manual for Legal Services and Pro Bono Mediation Programs' is produced with the generous support of the JAMS Foundation.

Pro bono mediation is a viable and valuable adjunct to traditional representation and advocacy. While each agency that considers adding mediation services must determine who will be served as well as what the program will encompass, this process for resolving disputes can expedite an advocate’s workload and expand the population served. Individuals who have financial resources slightly above the maximum income limit to be eligible for free legal services and cannot afford a private attorney or mediator can also be served in a pro bono mediation program.
