CALL FOR PROGRAM PROPOSALS

12th Annual Spring Conference
 Hyatt Regency San Francisco California
April 8-10, 2010

PROPOSAL DEADLINE AUGUST 24, 2009

The ABA Section of Dispute Resolution invites you to propose a program for the 2010 Spring Conference.  The Section’s Spring Conference is the premiere national event for the ADR field.  Join over 1,000 dispute resolution leaders, including commercial arbitrators and mediators, scholars, judges, court professionals, and community mediators.  

The Section is soliciting proposals for 90 minute educational sessions.   Proposals are due no later than August 24, 2009

Advocacy/Representing Clients in ADR
Arbitration – Domestic and International
Communication, Neuroscience, and Psychology
Community and Youth
Court ADR
Diversity
Ethics
Government and Public Policy
Environmental ADR
Family    
Government and Public Policy                                                                                                       
International/Comparative ADR
Legal Educators Colloquium
Marketing and Practice/Business Development
Mediation
Multi-Party and Class Action
Negotiation
Application of ADR in Specialized Contexts (includes IP, entertainment, healthcare, energy, real estate, insurance, securities, construction and labor/employment)
Research


Priority Points are given to proposals that:

- introduce new and innovative concepts;
- demonstrate diversity of presenters' backgrounds;
- include at least two, but not more than four faculty members; 
- include presenters with demonstrated expertise;
- provide significant depth of coverage of the subject matter.

Presenting at the Section’s Spring Conference provides extensive and valuable marketing and visibility to a global audience.  Faculty are expected to register and pay to participate in the conference.  A reduced faculty rate is available.


Tips:

Notification of accepted programs will be completed by October 15, 2009.

Before getting started be sure you have gathered all required information: (1) the name and contact information of the person coordinating the proposed session; (2) the program title and a short description; (3) a brief outline of the session; (4) complete contact information for all proposed presenters (we communicate with our accepted presenters by e-mail); and (5) a 200-word or less biographical sketch for each proposed presenter.
