Disability Statistic Reports
The Commission on Mental and Physical Disability Law collects data concerning individuals, specifically lawyers, with disabilities. Below are two reports issued by the Commission that contain such information:
2010 Goal III Report: A report on the status of the participation of persons with disabilities in ABA Division, Section, and Forum leadership positions for the 2008-2009 bar year. This document focuses on lawyers with disabilites and the ABA. It also covers efforts by ABA entities to include lawyers with disabilities.
2010 ABA Disability Statistics Report : Taking data from the above 2010 Goal III Report, this document is a
compilation of statistics on individuals and lawyers with disabilities, their employment, and the legal profession. It is not specific to the ABA, and provides data sources from outside the ABA. This report is a great resource for those seeking general information on those with disabilities and the legal profession.
