- The Project recently recruited Sidley Austin LLP to take 15 post-conviction cases in the state of Alabama.
- Pro bono attorneys at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, a firm recruited by the Project, recently filed a clemency petition on behalf of Stanley "Tookie" Williams. California Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar denied Mr. Williams' petition for clemency, and Mr. Williams was executed on December 13, 2005.
