RP REAL ESTATE FINANCING GROUP

Who We Are

The Real Estate Financing Group is devoted to assisting attorneys in financing techniques involving real estate as collateral. To this end, this group presents educational programs and produces written materials to educate lawyers in all aspects of real estate finance. Separate committees within this group are dedicated to mortgage lending, construction lending, securitizations and legal opinions issued in connection with these financings, as well as legal issues and developments in real estate workouts, foreclosures and bankruptcies.

RPTE Spring Symposium, Philadelphia
May 6, 2010 - May 7, 2010
The Real Estate Financing Group will present three programs at the Spring Symposium. One program will be on MERS and will include among its speakers Chris Peterson, who spoke at the REFG teleconference on this subject on November 11 Another program will co-sponsored with the ABA's Business Law Section and will address consolidation of separate entities in bankruptcies and receiverships in light of the General Growth and Sunwest cases. The third program will be on new opinion requirements for multi-family loans. More details to follow.
 

Conference call on MERS on November 9, 2009
