Section of International Law:
Asia/Pacific Committee

Message From the Chair

Welcome to our webpage!

This is an exciting time for lawyers, professionals, scholars and other visitors who share our interest in the Asia Pacific region. Characterized by extraordinary diversity, countries in the region are at the forefront of development and globalization. Our committee is focused on legal affairs and issues in the region.

We encourage you to go over our webpage. For latest legal developments in the region, we refer you to our committee newsletter, The Asia Law News. To gain access to discussions on relevant issues, we invite you to join our country listserves. For practical information, we refer you to research and city survival guides posted on this webpage.

We cordially invite you to join our committee. Our projects include producing newsletters and publications, developing programs for ABA meetings, and establishing key networks of legal professionals in countries in the region and among members of the American Bar Association across the globe.

Please feel free to contact either of us with inquiries. We look forward to your participation and involvement.

Alan Gutterman and Ed Lebow, Co-Chairs
