The International Procurement Committee focuses on a number of areas including: (1) information for non-U.S. lawyers pertaining to the U.S. procurement process, (2) information pertaining to procurement systems around the world, (3) information pertaining to multilateral development bank and bilateral assistance procurement, and (4) procurement capacity development. The Committee Leadership encourages all who are interested in these and other procurement issues to become active members of the Committee.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DAN GORDON ON HIS NOMINATION TO BE U.S. DIRECTOR OF FEDERAL PROCUREMENT
The Leadership of the International Procurement Committee is delighted to hear of Dan Gordon's nomination to be Director of OMB's Office of Federal Procurement Policy. It will be great to have a practitioner and teacher of such long-standing and deep expertise on the complex issues of federal procurement take on this important position. Some of us fondly remember Dan's past positive interactions with the lawyers at USAID, as well as with our own ABA Committee.
Dan, we wish you good luck with the confirmation process and look forward to your speedy installation.

Biographical Sketch
Mr. Gordon is the Deputy General Counsel (and current Acting General Counsel) of the U.S. Government Accountability Office. He previously served as the managing associate general counsel for the GAO's Procurement Law Division. He also has served as the associate general counsel and senior attorney for the Procurement Law Division and as the assistant general counsel for the Legal Services Division at the GAO. He is a Professorial Lecturer in Procurement Law at the George Washington University School of Law and an active member of the American Bar Association's Section of Public Contract Law.
