The world has never seen such a great volume of trade as it has in the last decade. More than ever, the complexities of cross-border transactions are at the forefront for all practitioners advising businesses everywhere. This committee focuses on the full range of international business transactions, including international sales of goods and convention issues; international sale and leaseback transactions; international distributor and agency agreements; franchising; technology transfer, financing and payment problems in international acquisitions; legal opinions in different jurisdictions including standards of liability, insurance, applicable law and jurisdiction; and developments in foreign corporate and financial law.
The International Commercial Transactions, Franchising and Distribution Committee was formed in 2005, following the merger of the International Commercial Transactions Committee with the International Franchising Subcommittee.
