The International Arbitration Committee focuses on all aspects of administered and non-administered international arbitration, ranging from the agreement to arbitrate, constitution of the arbitral tribunal, arbitrator disclosures and other duties, preliminary measures, arbitration procedure, submission of evidence, merits hearings, final award, and post award matters including judicial enforcement of awards. The Committee's recent initiatives include: --Review of proposed legislation to expand the jurisdiction of the U.S. Court of International Trade to include enforcement of agreements to arbitrate and arbitration awards; --Preparation of a report and recommendation on arbitration-related legislation pending before the United States Congress; and, --Comment on draft arbitrator disclosure guidelines. The Committee was formerly known as the International Commercial Dispute Resolution Committee.
