International Coordinating

Mission Statement

The Committee is responsible for coordinating and promoting the transnational law activities of the Section of Business Law. This includes: (A) promoting the Section of Business Law as a leader in the law of international business transactions and compliance with international business regulations; (B) encouraging, facilitating and coordinating the efforts of section committees to provide opportunities for Section members to participate in high quality programs on cross-border transactions and the effect of international regulation on the conduct of transnational business and on the operations of multinational business entities; (C) developing relationships with important international organization such as the United Nations, UNCITRAL, World Bank and IMF in the private international law arena and working with those organizations to promote harmonization of business laws among the nations; and (D) advising the Section Officers and Council on transnational business law issues.
