ABA Section of Business Law

Community Economic Development

Mission Statement

The Committee on Community Economic Development's purpose is to share the expertise and resources of the Section of Business Law with lawyers whose primary practice or pro bono service is with low to moderate income entrepreneurs and community-based organizations that are working to revitalize rural and inner city American communities, as well as the lenders that finance such initiatives. Provides an opportunity to share knowledge and develop policies about the emerging law of CED, support transactional lawyers involved in CED and to work with other committees of the Section, as well as other sections of the ABA.
