Corporate Governance: Investigations and Litigation

Corporate Governance:
Investigations and Litigation

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Subcommittee on Investigations and Litigation of the Corporate Governance Committee is threefold: (i) to provide continuing and ready access to resources in support of active and sophisticated counsel practicing in these fields; (ii) to provide professional development opportunities that drive the practitioner beyond the basic case knowledge in the field; and (iii) to provide a forum for dialogue across international boundaries with respect to best practices.

The leadership of the Subcommittee also hopes to provide a forum for consensus on draft legislation addressing corporate governance issues and litigation reform in light of the current financial and economic crisis.

The Subcommittee seeks to employ a cross-disciplinary approach to inform practitioners in these sensitive and complex practice areas, and to draw on the collective expertise of the Corporate Governance Commitee's full membership in developing new and next-level guidance in these fields.
