The Committee on Corporate Counsel strives to serve as the home for in-house counsel within the ABA Section of Business Law. The Committee is a forum for corporate counsel to discuss the myriad issues facing corporate counsel today, including governance and compliance, ethics, diversity, technology solutions, law department management, relationships with private law firms including billing issues, law firm marketing, and similar issues. The Committee also seeks to generate productive discourse between corporate counsel and business lawyers from private practice who have a special interest in the concerns of corporate counsel, particularly relationship issues. In addition, the Committee seeks to bring representatives of agencies that regulate corporations' activities to discuss areas of mutual interest, including policy and regulatory trends, to Committee members and agencies. And, the Committee focuses on including all related perspectives such as the views of business law professors and attorneys located outside of the United States who work with U.S. companies.
