CHAIR’S MESSAGEgg
|

Michael S. Pasano
|
I am told Aloha means
hello and good-bye. The Annual Meeting in Honolulu is where I pass the Chair position to Robert M.A. Johnson of Anoka, MN.
Bob and I have been working together, along with Catherine Anderson and
Stephen Salzburg, on Section planning for the past couple years or more.
The Section is in
very good hands. I have appreciated the opportunity to serve the
Section as Chair and hope my year of stewardship will be regarded well. For
sure and through little effort on my part but with the strong efforts of Section
Director Jack Hanna and others among the Section staff, the Section's newsletters and communication with
members has improved by leaps and bounds, and we have started down the path
of better and stronger Section Divisions and Committees.
And the Section
continues to be held in high esteem in the ABA House of Delegates, thanks
to the incredible work of Neal Sonnett, Stephen Salzburg and Susan
Gaertner. Frankly, it is easy to be Chair when so many amazing people are
active in the Section and making criminal justice a reality and less an
oxymoron. So when you think of me and my year, and you will, think kindly.
We did live dangerously, and I thank everyone for this time together.
