Editorial Board of the ABA/BNA Lawyers' Manual on Professional Conduct
Since its inception in the early 1980's, the multi-volume ABA/BNA Lawyers' Manual on Professional Conduct has established itself as the pre-eminent reference work in the field of legal ethics and serves as the ABA's flagship publication in this important area.
The Manual's mission is to provide authoritative ethics guidance to lawyers and educators. The publication includes in-depth chapters on a wide variety of topics in the field of lawyer ethics; digests of cases, ethics opinions, and lawyer discipline opinions; ABA standards; reports on legislation, ethics rules amendments and other developments; and analytical pieces on discrete and timely topics emerging in the field. Published since 1984 in partnership with the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., in Washington, D.C., the Manual is frequently cited in court decisions and ethics opinions, at all levels.
The Editorial Board of the ABA/BNA Lawyers' Manual on Professional Conduct meets yearly to review the operations of the publication and make non-binding recommendations to the ABA and BNA. The presidents of the ABA and BNA each appoint six members to the Editorial Board, which, in turn, elects one of its members as chair.
