Committee and the Legislative Coordinating Committeee will be a joint meeting held on Thursday, July 21st at 8: 30 a.m. (please note the change in time) at the law offices of McKenna Long & Aldridge, 1900 ”K” Street, N.W.
Erin Conaton, deputy staff director for the House Armed Services Committee's Ranking Member Ike Skelton, is our invited speaker. Erin formerly worked on acquisition policy issues for the minority -- but now, as deputy staff director for the minority, she handles ALL issues related to full committee activities. So she can share with us her views on the House version of the FY06 Defense Authorization bill (HR 1815), and future outlook for the pending conference between the Senate and House on the differing issues in the two versions of the defense authorization bills.
