Next upcoming meeting

The Judicial Remedies and Federal Claims & Remedies Committees of the ABA's Section of Public Contract Law will hold a joint meeting on Thursday, March 18, 1999. The meeting will take place at 12:00 noon in the offices of Piper & Marbury L.L.P., 1200 Nineteenth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., 6th Floor, Lincoln Room. Members may participate by phone if arrangements are made in advance. A modest charge (approximately $6.00) for the luncheon will be made.

The focus of the meeting will be the Committees' support of the Contract Disputes Act ("CDA") Working Group, which was formed by the Section to take a "bottoms up" look at the CDA and, if appropriate, formulate a specific set of recommendations for changes to the Act. At the meeting, members of the Working Group will discuss potential changes to the CDA in the areas of remedies, forums, and procedures.

All are welcome to attend this important meeting and share their views and insights on potential improvements to the CDA.
