Substantive Committees
About our Committees
To deal with substantive developments throughout the procurement field, committees have been organized into five separate divisions - the Federal Procurement Division, the Construction Division, the General Interest Committees Division, the Operations Division, and the State and Local Procurement Division, each composed of several substantive committees.
Committee projects are presented by Section committees to the Council for adoption, comment, and discussion at each quarterly Council meeting. Through the Committee process, the Section provides comments on all proposed changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (and its agency supplements), and has embarked on an ambitious new program to comment on similar developments in law or regulation at the State and Local level consistent with the principles set forth in the ABA Model Procurement Code.
The substantive committees that members can join include:
- Construction Division
- Federal Procurement Division
- General Interest Division
- Operations Division
- State & Local Procurement Division
For information about joining our Committee, contact one of the Committee Officers, or send e-mail to pubcontract@abanet.org
