GSA SCHEDULES

AND BEYOND

Tuesday

June 29, 1999

Westin Grand Hotel

Washington, D.C.

Over the past few years, GSA has revolutionized its Multiple Award Schedule Program. The sky is the limit on the size of the orders, the procedures for placing the orders have been simplified, and the prices are as competitive as ever. The Program has also been expanded to include many new types of services never before acquired under the schedules.

Agencies have developed new and innovative strategies for ordering from the schedules, including utilizing large Blanket Purchase Agreements and encouraging teaming among schedule vendors. More and more vendors are also participating in the Program.

As a result, sales under the GSA’s MAS Program are at an all-time high and are growing faster every year.

At the same time, sales under other multiple award contract vehicles, such as GWACs and the Veterans Administration schedules, are also rapidly increasing and have resulted in new innovations. In addition, use of new special simplified procedures for commercial items is on the rise.

This program is intended to provide attendees with the most knowledgeable and current information concerning these fast-growing Government commercial item acquisition vehicles.
