Fourth Annual Federal Procurement Institute
March 12-13, 1998
Loews Annapolis Hotel - Annapolis, MD

Numerous important developments have come to the fore as the implementation of major changes to procurement laws and regulations has continued over the last year. And the arena for analyzing them is the Fourth Annual Procurement Institute. We've gathered experts in procurement law and policy who will assess these recent developments in federal procurement law in panels on:

__ Using Other Transactions.

__ Case study on privatization issues.

__ Developments in health care contracting.

__ Assessment on the developments in commercial contracting.

__ Discussion of high profile cost issues.

__ Insights into the challenges of electronic commerce and electronic communications.

__ Review of recent trends in major systems acquisitions.

__ Update on developments from the Courts and Boards.

__ Discussion of the developments in False Claims Act and Qui Tam actions.

__ A review of ethics in discovery.

Government counsel, corporate counsel, private counsel, and other procurement professionals have found this Annual Federal Procurement Institute to be an ideal opportunity to participate in an in-depth review, analysis and discussion about where the procurement system is going and how to practice effectively in it. Some sessions will be run concurrently to get them all in. All sessions anticipate and encourage audience participation and interaction. There will be time set aside in the morning and afternoon for committees to meet before and after the programs each day.

Include Saturday, March 14, on your agenda and attend the Section's Council Meeting and hear discussion of important issues to government contracts practitioners.

If your practice involves federal procurement, put this meeting on your "don't miss" calendar. Register now to take advantage of the discounted rate.
