This prefatory program describes the difficult challenges facing state and local governments in addressing infrastructure financing for construction or restoration, maintenance and operation. These challenges can be met with the cooperation and energy of government lawyers utilizing the new and proven financial tools presented in this program.
Our expert panelists will discuss the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the new financing tools available to local governments. In addition, the panelists will address recent developments in the federal securities laws as they pertain to state and local governments.
